Philadelphia Flower Show !

March14

Last Tuesday was an ‘Artist’s Day Out’  with my friend Sue.  We visited the Philadelphia flower show. The theme was Springtime in Paris.  Sue was more excited than I was at looking at a lot of the Parisan displays because she has actually BEEN to Paris and was taken back by the amazing designs that depicted the actual places. I was just in awe of the large scale designs and the use of product and flowers in such unique ways! We arrived there at about 11:30 am and it was SO CROWDED already…I don’t love crowds but the designs were worth the wait to see. It’s easy to forget about all the people and get lost in a design, but I did feel guilty about looking at a design too long when there was a crowd 4 rows deep behind me : (    I found my favorite fan willow and black pussy willow at a fresh flower stand there and some fun water pearls for my upcoming demos. We lasted about 4 & 1/2 hours then died ! and had to drive home to NJ. All in all a fun day. Thanks Sue for driving!!!

I am a flower nut! I have loved fresh flowers ever since I can remember!

I enjoy showing people how to enjoy designing with fresh flowers. With just a few simple tips you too can be a designer! That’s why I challenge people to Dare to Design! Play with those fresh flowers that God gave us here on  earth to enjoy for just a short wisp of time!

I’ve met many Designers with ‘Attitude’ in my 24 year career, and I promise you I don’t have one! I enjoy working(and playing) with flowers knowing that one can’t EVER be on top of the design field as it is constantly shifting and changing (shapes AND colors!!) I am along for the ride and loving it! Join me to experience some flower fun! ~Rosemary
